Klüber Lubrication’s application-specific lubricants facilitate and improve the fitting of seals, covers and many other components made of elastomer and thermoplastic materials, metals or non-metals in the automotive industry. On the occasion of the International Supplier Exchange IZB, the lubricants manufacturer is expanding its range of assembly aids by adding new tribological solutions.
Klüber Lubrication has developed the Klüberplus S 19-100 assembly gel specifically for joining and assembly processes involving elastomer and plastic vehicle components such as door and window seals, guides, or visors. The product creates a temporary lubricating effect during the assembly process that allows the components to slide easily into position. The demonstrably lower pressing forces can significantly reduce the reject rate and increase the production rate. The lubricating effect is only temporary, so that the assembled component is then precisely fixed in place.
The versatile Klüberplus S 19-100 is based on the Klüberplus S 06-100/Klüberplus S 07-100 series and was designed for use with numerous rubber-elastic materials. It is therefore compatible with many materials. In particular, it was tested in conjunction with the plastics PMMA, ASA, ABS, EPDM, TPE and PP as well as with different adhesive tapes and coatings. At the same time, the corrosion protection contained protects a wide variety of metal surfaces.
Another high-quality corrosion protection medium is Klüberfluid 9 R 100, a special assembly fluid based on synthetic oil. The product is especially effective with SBR and EPDM elastomers and in contact with DOT 3, 4 and 5.1 brake fluids. Consequently, Klüberfluid 9 R 100 unfolds its potential for example in brake components. It is also used as a corrosion protection medium for steel parts during storage and transport between production and assembly. The lubricant offers the advantage of not having to be removed prior to the installation of SBR and EPDM elastomers.
