A successful case in one of the Bakery plants

In the past quarter, we are doing our best to assist our distributors to achieve OP 2021 and establish new goals for 2022, in line with the gradual recovery of GDP and a favourable rising production index for the Philippines.

One of the Bakery plants of our existing customer is using our Staburin 282+ for their ovens. Based on their practice, they are re-lubricating the bearings every quarter which is costly for them. We informed them that we could extend the cycle by doing a grease analysis. We obtained some grease samples during their maintenance shutdown and sent it to KLM for an analysis. After a few weeks, we received the results and learnt that the grease was still in good condition for continuous usage. As such, the customer could use the grease for more than 3 months. We told them that we could target to reach a semi-annual re-greasing with the bearings and offered them with a sample on the fifth month. This is still in discussion.

In August, we conducted a Virtual Basic Lubrication Training for two beverage plants located in Mindanao. It was conducted over two days in which Mr. Tyrone Malalad from Klüber Lubrication SEA Philipines Rep. Office conducted the training with the assistance from Mr. Jerome Faustino of Connell Brothers Corp. There were around 20 participants in the two-day event. They were satisfied since we could help them around all their lubrication concerns and sought additional information through understanding the importance of Food Grade lubricants. We also picked up some sales inquiries which are handled by Mr. Faustino.

In the same month, Mr. Malalad held a face-to-face Basic Lubrication Training for the salespersons at Simpex Machineries. The training was aimed to refresh their knowledge in lubrication and to know the different application for each industries. The participants were able to reinforce the knowledge required to handle the different industries that are assigned to them.

For the coming quarter, we will carry on pushing sales activities using selected customer visits, data mining, email blasts, growth workshop and online meetings.
