Successful lubrication mapping through Total Productivity Management (TPM)

The past two months have not been easy for us in Vietnam, with the country going through full lockdown. However, we stayed connected with our channel partners, pursuing sales orders and tackling technical issues for our customers remotely. It is business as usual for us, even when working from home and we have 3 key highlights that took place in Q3.

Highlight 1:
Our key customer, a global F&B manufacturing plant in TriAn is planning a new line, commissioning in October 2021. Despite the pandemic restrictions, the customer sought authorisation and brought in a team of project staff who works tirelessly around the clock in order to catch up with the needful schedule.

As lubrication mapping is important, we advised the customer to optimise and ensure the following criterias are met:

  • Food safety
  • Machines’ performance
  • Smooth maintenance and operational flow

Together with VuMinh and the support received from Mr. Callum Macleod, our Regional GIT-Food Manager, we embarked on Total Productivity Management (TPM) which was formerly known as KlüberEfficiencySupport (KES) and assisted the customer to establish a successful lubrication mapping, planned for a first fill and stocked up for the project. Numerous online meetings were held to ensure a good support in line with the speedy progress at our customer’s site. At the moment, the TPM report is under finalisation process that would allow a smooth commencement of the line soon.

Highlight 2:
The same key F&B customer in TriAn found residue built up within its extraction cell hydraulic system that could cause valve damage. Due to the national lockdown, it is impossible to import new products for cleaning and oil replacement, thus we came up with a temporary solution of running the existing lubrication after cleaning and monitor the working condition closely in ensuring that the cell extraction hydraulic application could carry on well with good performance and facilitate smooth productions, while discussing about the proposed new optimised cleaning product and food grade hydraulic oil.

Highlight 3:
A customer from the Sugar industry recently kicked off the preparation works for its operational launch that is set between November 2021 and May 2022. Considering Klüberlub OG 11-6000 BH is a good product for their manufacturing lines, we are keeping active contact with the customer so as to make order and planning arrangements around the shipment to ensure a timely delivery of the grease prior to the new production season.

As we approach the remaining leg of 2021, we are in talks with a Steel customer for a trial on Klüberplex HB 98-601 BH. With progressive expansion of Vietnam’s GDP, we strive to assist our channel partners to achieve sales growth and make strategic plans for the coming 2022 via data mining, growth workshop sessions, new product push, market potential analysis, while waiting for the government’s announcement of the next direction.
